Useful Chamomile Flowers

Here are some very useful ways to use chamomile flowers, dry or fresh:

  • • Chamomile tea is said to relieve (pre)menstrual cramps better than any painkiller (and without side-effects!).

    • Chamomile infusion (steep large amount of chamomile flowers in hot water for 15 minutes; let cool before using) makes a wonderfully soothing and aromatic bath.

    • Lukewarm chamomile tea rinse brings golden highlights to brown hair and makes blond hair lighter.

    • Chamomile combined with neutral henna adds highlights even to very dark hair.

• Fungal conditions
• Diaper rash and cradle cap and
• To soothe nipples, sore from breast-feeding

An amazing list for such a simple, easy to grow herb, isn’t it?
And the best part is – this list is not even complete… :o)

Vitamin Therapy

Photo: Blooming Italian (flat leaf) parsley

Did you know that consuming parsley by itself is like having a vitamin therapy?

Its greenery is rich in vitamin A and has more C vitamin per volume than an orange. Parsley also contains several B vitamins and minerals calcium and iron.

By some doctors parsley tea is prescribed as a cure for bladder troubles in young females. Nevertheless, with all the beneficial ingredients, parsley tea seems like a benefit to anyone who drinks it.
